PotPlay Auto resume issue

I recently installed PotPlayer on my Win11 laptop to replace VLC and have one issue that I cannot resolve.

After pausing the player (press spacebar) and walking away from the computer, when I walk by the computer PotPlayer will auto resume. Or if I pause the player and switch to another window (potplayer is now in the background) while I'm working in the other window potplayer will resume.

How in the heck do I get it to remain paused until I return to the potplayer window and press the spacebar?
I emailed ahahlive and he responed that it worked without issue on his PC. Obviously, this did not resolve the issue for me.

I gave up on PotPlayer and installed KMPlayer.
