  1. I need help with this video, which was extracted from a web stream from a few years ago, and for its time (2013) it looks really awful.
I'm open to any advice, including AI tools or anything that can significantly improve this video clip, since the compression artifacts and resolution make it unwatchable by today's standards.

I will send a long clip, since it's necessary (I believe) to see all the compression artifacts this video fragment is suffering from in general.
I even believe it has more artifacts, but it would be impossible for me to upload the entire concert.

  2. Playering around with the source.
Here's the used script and I attached the clip.
Main point was using BasicVSR++s deblur functionality, trying to lessen the motion blur. (DeHalo_alpha might be unnecessary)
Filtering cut-by-cut and adjusting filter settings etc. could probably help retain more details, but might take ages,...

Thanks Selur, I know it's very complicated when it comes from a source with a lot of compression artifacts (which are very difficult to remove). However, is there a way to use something that adds details to the scenes where the compression artifacts were reversed and "cleaned," so to speak? Because the result is great — it achieves a clean image free of artifacts, which is exactly what I'm looking for — but it ends up looking like plasticine and often very blurry. (I know what I'm asking is, in a way, like trying to do magic, but I need to clear up these doubts I have.)
Do you have any idea that could help me? (Although I doubt I’ll be able to run it, because of my potato PC.)

  5. Sadly, there is no good detail inventing method I'm aware of that really works for videos. Stuff like ControlNet, CodeFormer, are not really suited for video at this point in time. (and are rather slow, even on modern hardware)
There are some models over at https://openmodeldb.info/ which might add some detail to the skin, but these have no temporal awareness and usually are not really that useful.
The stuff you can do is limited, given the source has strong motion blur/blending and compression artifacts.
