I extracted a segment (an advertisement) from a video, and after joining the two remaining parts, I couldn’t figure out how to remove the resulting audio gap. How can I do it? I’m using Premiere Pro 2025 on Windows 11.

You need to fade the first audio down and the second audio up so that the interface is at or near 0 and there is no jump (pop)

It is about: the first clip has applause in the background; the same has got the second one.
I'd like to listen to a "continuity" not a break; as if no cut has been done. -

I would first try an audio Declicker tool. A more manual way is to time stretch or shrink one of the applause sections until by trial and error the pop is reduced or eliminated, then any remaining short transient, use the Declicker. In just audio the editor automatically tries to match the zero crossings but video sync complicates this. Any chance of an audio sample?
