    Hello everyone,
Can you guys please help me out? I had in my possession two of the exact same Panasonic models, the PV-S9670 VCR, both had the EXACT same issue. I have uploaded a video on YouTube, for your consideration. Any comments or thoughts would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

  2. kinda strange this interference, first time i see this. Maybe a bad EMI filter on the power supply. Total guess.
The picture is not entirely distorted

You're going to do a lot of fault tracing steps to find out where that noise is coming from, To name few, try using the VCR in passthrough mode with nothing connected to the input to see if the noise is in the video processing, if not than use a dummy tape with no tape in it to see if the noise is generated in the RF section of the video heads, Next you will investigate the power supply.
