    Yesterday I received an email from IG that there was a request to change my PW. I did not make such a request and followed the email with a reply to that.

    Then the problems started. If I tried to login in I was greeted with various msgs that either my mobile number was not recognised - the number shown meant zero to me. Or my password was not recognised (I requested a new one and when that was put in got another msg asking me for a security code). Having never set that up in my acc, I am totally screwed.


    It is possible that my IG acc has been comprimised yet on the help pages I see no way to directly contact them about this issue.


    Anyone have any ideas ?

    Thanks for your input. Unfortunately there is little to help me here. I will have to seek out a friend to see if the account is still 'live'.

    But there MUST be some 'humans' behind the scenes since accounts are closed down for violations. And the second link does mention 'moderators'.


    I tried again this morning and still get the same issues with new recovery and verification codes. It's this two-stage verification that is the hurdle. I even tried the 'selfie' test and that is as useful as a condom in The Vatican And then I get a most 'useful' msg 'Something went wrong'


    IG is not the be all and end all for me. I guess I could start again with another email addr and re-upload the 'important' content.
