App for MYPIN 4k PLAYER

I bought this player some time ago and it has been working fine. On the Remote Control there is a key called APPS : when I press it nothing happens.
In the manual of the equipment I read that there is the possibility to use external apps (like VLC) when some video files cannot be read normally : I would like to know if it is possible to install VLC in the APP area of the equipment and how ii is possible to do this.

under #6 apps i think you have to select the app folder to acces the apps, the app button on the remote may be used as a shortcut button you set.
