Hi there!!!
I've been recently burning some mixes on CDs and normally I use my discman to play them but today I decided to bust out my DV-350 I had as a kid and hooked it up to my TV. The problem is, it just straight up refuses to read my burned CDs?? It plays pressed discs no problem but anytime I put in a burned one, I can't even hear the drive spin up.
I tried looking stuff up and found this forum thread along with a compatiblity list and if I'm reading it right it should theoretically have no issue playing burned CDs/DVDs. (Which obviously doesn't reflect reality for me for bizarre reasons...)
I burn my CDs with Imgburn using this guide. Is there anything I'm doing wrong?

Open this CD-R in your PC.
If it is an Audio CD the tracks should be "Track01.cda" and so on for the rest of the tracks.
ImgBurn always Finalizes a CD-R.
It can not be set not to do this.
So that should be finalized.
Nero Info Tool or CD Speed will tell you if a disc is closed.
CD-R and CD-RW:
These are recordable media, and while some older CD players might have difficulty reading them, many do. The key difference lies in how they reflect the laser beam. Pressed CDs (standard audio CDs) have physical pits, while burned CDs (CD-R/CD-RW) use a different reflective layer. Some older players might have trouble with the reflection from burned discs. -

I had a DVD player that behaved that way. Try burning the same CD-R on a CD-RW. form the pictures in the internet it seems a rebranded panasonic model. Early panasonic models try to search a track that is present in cd-r only and if this is the issue you could be able to read music from cd-rw

Check whether a burned rip will play fine on a standalone (without one)?
