  1. I found this thread: https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1568963#post1568963

Sadly i don't understand what this code means. Is this somehow possible to make with hybrid ? I mean the Pictures looks very nice for me. But Maybe it is only because the source works with that. I normally use DetailSharpen 0.5-0.7 Strength and i like it very much.

Most "remaster" of Movies i see looks bad/overprocessed. This looks nice for me (but maybe it is because the picture is so small. If i zoom in, it looks pixelated).

  2. LSFmod, Detailsharpen and Finesharp are available in Hybrid.
The code mentioned there is what Didée turned into FineSharp,...
You can also use CAS and/or add some line darkening to make stuff seems sharper,..
Note that all these sharpen filter only emphasize details, they do not add them, so a blurred source will not magically gain details,...

  3. Ahh yes. Ok, maybe this was just a good source. Because i tried FineSharp already and for me it does always make it look pixelated. So then i think i will stay on CAS or DetailSharpen. CAS looks basically the same as DetailSharpen for me. Also i tried LSFmod which is an option. It has its on up- and downsides. I like CAS and Detailsharpen. they just sharp everything. But you have to make sure there is no grainy background.

And yes, i know. I do only sharp a little bit. I often used SMDegrain with TemporalRadius2, SAD300, Contr.Sharp -1 in hybrid + Detailsharpen 0.5 in Strength.

Still there is no good option for Upscaling real stuff. Tried again some models, but they do still the same bad results (except you have 320p Input Resolution and 100GB VRAM graphics card )

That's why i am trying to use light-sharpening or trying to find some wonder-sharpener.

    But thanks for your answer.

  4. All the image enhancer models are really only usable for anime/cartoon or single images due to the lack of temporal coherence (you end up with flickering).
Especially if they would add believable details, you would end up with a flickering mess.
