  1. Ok guys......I need your help once again. I know I am a little behind the times here, but I have finally just purchased a DVD rom drive for my system, and now I want to know if there is any (the keyword being- EASY) way to copy a DVD to a CDR without going thru the whole encoding process???? I know, I know, I have taken a look at Sefy's guide and I just was curious as to if there is a simple program out there that will just let you copy one. I am really curious what the quality will be. I mean do you have to go thru the entire encoding process, just like an avi? Or is there any such program that you can just put the DVD in the drive and then a CDR in the CDRW drive and hit "COPY" ???

  2. Try DVDX for about the easiest process

Otherwise, place DVD onto your scanner, press copy button

  4. Yes, DVDx is nice and interest solution but the result is not good or the best. The video quality is more poor then thru TMPGEnc, also subtitles looks very very poor if u r using DVDx or similar products. For putting subtitles is better to use VirtualDub. It means SMARTRIPPER -> DVD2AVI -> VFAVI frameserving -> VirtualDub with loaded subtitles -> Frameserving -> TMPGEnc -> VideoCD.

    It is easy, isnīt it?

  6. for normal dvd ripping, smartripper->dvd2avi->tmpgenc->nero is quite easy....it's gets pretty routine once you get the hang of it....just knowing when to force film, use the filters, etc. can take a little bit longer...but that's not usually too big of a problem

  7. Well I will try to follow your directions, but I will be sure to keep you in mind when I get ready to go for quality!
