  1. I recently used n_m3u8dl-re to download an MPD and after mp4_decrypt it came out blurry like this

Can anyone help me figuring out why this happened?

You can't expect to download a clear video when the source isn't clear. N_m3u8DL-RE downloaded good. If you want to alter your video, try avisynth or other tools. If I'm not mistaken, that seems to be some sort of interlacing effect.

Oddly enough it is interlaced video which is difficult to see on a streaming site, normally videos are all progressive.

    Is it a 29.97 FPS?

Actually, the source is really clear it is 1080p and it is also progressive, i tried shaka-packager and mp4decrypt both but am having the same issue

I'll also try the software you mentioned thank you!

The stream is actually good, after downloading it becomes interlaced with both shaka and mp4decrypt. Here is the MPD and KID:ID

    MPD & KEY:

    UPDATE ON THE ISSUE:

I fixed it with deinterlacing as mentioned by 2nHxWW6GkN1l916N3ayz8HQoi, also i used ffmpeg with the following cmd

    Code:
    ffmpeg -i john-wick.mp4 -vf yadif -c:v libx264 -crf 18 out.mp4
    VOiLA
Not the best, but better than interlaced! Suggest improvements if you guys wanna!

there's no need to re-encode and reduce the picture quality when any half decent video player can deinterlace on the fly. with mpv you just click 'd' to toggle it on and off. with vlc it should toggle on automatically, but if not you can find the deinterlace settings by clicking 'video' in the toolbar.
