  1. I have had the drive for 2 days and it is unbelievable what i can do ! only disappointment was dvd+rw format only would have like to get the dvd+r/dvd+rw but for the price and since iwork @ best buy part time i could not pass up $249 employee disc and a $50 mail in rebate

ok to my question has anyone with this drive or with dvd+rw knowledge know if there will be a firmware upgrade to be able to burn dvd+r or even speed the drive up ?

just wondering if so could you point me to a link or send me information
    thanks

  2. That is the Ricoh drive with Sony labeling. It will never burn to DVD+R.
You are in the same boat as all the HP/Philips/Ricoh jokers who shelled out their money for the first +RW drive. I would have spent $100.00 more and got a 104 drive.

  3. I have one and I like it, Never had a problem with it. Since the price of +rw discs came down %67 percent since I bought my drive and will eventually come down to same price of the -rw's They still have the added blessing of erasing them.

Don't let these people with Pioneers and Panasonic people turn you off your great drive, I have all of three brands and the easiest and less troublefree one to use is the Sony+rw

I have not had a single problem with my Pioneer A04.

    Not yet, at least...

Perhaps, it could be your configuration that is giving you problems?
