    howdy

    if there are arte VOD users around here, I'd love to know what is the standard/main path when streaming (ie url section before the .dash / .mp4 / whatever it's called segments). silly me just hopes to get some vtt files, it's not about the usual vid decrypting shebang, so I'm posting in the subtitle section instead...

    I get limited access to some arte vod via their other platform https://vod.mediatheque-numerique.com/ , but not everything is there...
    vtt links hosted there mostly look like this :
    https://mednum-arte-content.lab.arte.tv/movies/VTT/[ID]/HLS_[sameID]_0-VO.vtt

    fun fact : also seems to work when "boutique" replaces "mednum",
    with that in mind I hoped I could use it for arte vod (boutique.arte.tv) itself when I know how url ends (the vtt part), alas no luck yet

    What's the video URL that you want subtitles for?
    --[----->+<]>.++++++++++++.---.--------.

    You can find a lot of Arte videos on the German App MediaTheckView, but they tend to hardcode the subtitles there most of the time, in either French or German.
    You will need a German VPN if the videos are geo blocked.

    just solved it, I guessed right with the "boutique" thing, they should start with https://boutique-arte-content.lab.arte.tv/movies/VTT/
    but it didn't download because there was a typo in the vtt filename I tried today

    ie upon inspection, https://boutique.arte.tv/detail/grand-tour features "fileName": "HLS_242751_VO-VO.vtt" in the response
    ... which will only download with the correct filename under the same model mentioned in the first post, ie HLS_242751_0-VO.vtt , should have spotted it right away ^^
