Recently upgraded to Ver 4 on a new PC. One annoyance that is on the previous versions is still present.
I use TS-Doctor to process ts files from the Hauppauge PVR 2. When you are ready to save the file the language always defaults to "German".The Hauppauge files have no language indicated.
I usually forget to select and change to "English" and my Mediainfo shows my files as "German" language.
I tried the language settings but that doesn't seem to affect it.
    Any ideas?

TS Doctor developer is from Germany perhaps this is why the files language might show sometimes as German, if the original file isn't present in the video.
I use TS Doctor to manage satellite recorded videos and it usually shows the correct languages for the videos but the audio is shown as qad if the show has the original language which the TV channel call it qad.
I would suggest to contact the developer he is very helpful, but give him more details about the behavior in your case.

Finally found it under Preferences - Correction Behavior.
    After all these years.

The current Hauppauge PVR-2 capture software doesn't specify a default language. Maybe some of the older drivers did.
Confusing because I have a mix of files (starting in 2013) that are designated English or German.
