The VCR was working, but on the second tape tested, it got stuck. Later I was able to take the tape out but now when I turn it on it does this. My friend who is an electronics technician and I are going to try to fix it, I know it will be complicated, but I want advice, tips, anything to help me fix it.

Hello everyone, I'm going to try to fix this device myself. I would like to know if anyone knows of a YouTube video of these guys who disassemble and repair these VCRs, maybe I can find someone disassembling this device. Does anyone have any tips from any youTube channel?

  5. Seems like the timing is off in the loading basket/elevator which fits with possible forceful removal of an eaten tape. You can see that the front of it is not going in straight. You've just got to hope that a gear somewhere isn't broken. Most likely isn't going to be a complicated repair, but it should be pretty obvious if it is fixable once the basket is off. An electronics tech should be pretty easily able to reset the timing of a VCR mechanism though, unless they don't do anything mechanical during their usual repairs.
