    There are some kind of horizontal bands. Is there a way to remove them with Avisynth filters? Or at least to minimize them?

    To remove the bands, you can use "Auto Crop". Or "Crop".

    I don't mean the borders, but in the actual video frame.

  6. not Avisynth: using GradFun3Dmod and BasicVSR++ :

    script: https://pastebin.com/QjsAGYYN
    With just Avisynth, maybe some heavy debanding, MCTemporalDenoise and some masking might work,...

    Don't really see a way to getting anything good out of it,..
