If you mean you want to vary the speed of recorded speech to interpret nuances of pronunciation...

Audacity. In the lower right quadrant is a separate play button and slider.
Sliding left decreases the speed of the sample, sliding right increases the speed.
Press the green triangle (play) to listen.
You can set loop 'on' at the top of the page.

Is there any options in audacity to search and convert audio to text captioning? is there another program that provides automatic detection of words categorized by different play back speed detections?

Maybe someone can provide me with additional software that can run research on paranormal activity in relation to the playback speed and catching wind wave patterns that can usually only be seen with high definition cameras.
