It looks like HitFilm has been officially discontinued. The thing is, I wanted to use this program for some time after hearing good things about it. I never got around to using it, but I still want to know if I should keep it or should I uninstall it?

Depends on your needs. You can still try and see if it's good enough for you. It just won't receive any updates and there might be some performance issues. Some people still use it tho.
Probably it's better to look at other options, there are good free alternatives.
