  1. Hello,

I asked Amazon's customer service, but I didn't get the impression they completely understood what I was asking.
If there are two options for a movie on Amazon Prime, Rent HD and Buy HD, do both option lead to the same file, with the exact same quality / bitrate, or is the "Buy HD" option higher quality?
I also want to know, is "buying" a digital file on Amazon basically just mean a rental that never expires, or does it actually download some type of DRM file to my computer (whereas the Rent HD never saves anything other than in the Temp files while it's streaming)?

Hope someone can answer this. I'm particularly curious about the quality.

rent hd and buy hd get you the exact same file. buying is just a rental where you can watch the file online until amazon completely removes the title from their site if they remove it due to expired rights or any other reason.
