  1. I'm re-encoding my star trek collection but as i playback, i have various popups come up on the screen with definitions of various words. What's causing this?

    Did you rip the DVD to your Hard disk (or SSD) ?

    Somehow it's picking up some extra features from the DVD. You may have picked the wrong title.

  5. I've seen something like this before in other films. I think it's some special subtitle that (hopefully) can be deactivated, unless you chose "burn in" in the handbrake options.
