How to download Rumble subtitles easily?

I haven't found any way to download subtitles from Rumble. The only question here led to a way I couldn't figure out how to adapt to the video I wish to download (2023 post is here: https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/410925-can-I-download-Rumble-subtitles).

The video in question I found on Rumble that I'd like to get a "transcript" from, as it were, that I get by just using the subtitle file to reference.

The video in question today is (and I frequently have videos I wish to download from Rumble subtitles from for hard copies of instructions, etc., so this isn't a one-off):

That video doesn't have any subtitles that can be enabled in their video. What you really want is generating subtitles from audio only?

Oh, how do you know it doesn't have subtitles to be enabled? That's easy to see in YouTube videos because you can enable close-captioning. But I don't see that type of feature in Rumble.

Oh, generating from audio means having to download the video and extract the audio, then having a program to generate the subtitles from??? Daunting esp. since I haven't seen _any_ freeware speech recognition at all, and only online paid services, which I can't afford.

Is that what you mean by generating subtitles from the audio?
If not, and it's such much easier, please advise.

I assumed you knew that and wanted to use AI to get srt from audio

I'd been stumped since I read your post and the advice re subtitles and looking beside the cog wheel .... oh, this is too funny! I've never seen this, but JUST LIKE IN YOUTUBE, yes, Rumble has a line that includes a cog wheel settings function, a CC symbol, etc., etc. Yes, all the same. EXCEPT IT DISAPPEARS and doesn't stay on, esp. once the cursor is no longer over the playing video, which is how I've never really seen it before, that I can remember. I've been using my cell phone a lot, which is probably how I missed it even more easily there, but with Rumble on PC, it just happened just now that I was moving my cursor over a playing Rumble video when this settings line, or whatever it can be called, slid up. And I started laughing right away on how I'd missed it all this time!! <lol>

And, wow, a potential solution via this whisper ai speech recognition thing. I'll have to check it out. I'm dumb when it comes to many things, got too much on the go in my personal life (parent in palliative care I'm visiting every day! Makes one doubly distracted. But trying to keep up with some things in life, as life happens and continues on despite whatever life throws one's way!), and I have had trouble with github solutions, but maybe it'll be something I can figure out.

It's like Youtube. Many videos of many different types of human experience, behavior, etc.

It's just not as big as YouTube (yet).

They have instructions on github at the readme -> setup section. I followed them and it works nicely. I just stopped it cause it took too long.
