  1. Its been all long battle spanning several weeks using a variety of different software. But alas I've met my Waterloo.

You know I come and look at this forum and I see lots of people making good quality VCDs. When I make a VCD it plays brilliantly on my PC but when I try playing it on my VCD player the video stutters every few seconds. I've downloaded VCDs and they play fine in my player.

I don't know how you guys are making it happen I alas have been unable to. Yes I tried all the software, all the tutorials tried all the tweeks.

Its finally come to this. I am giving up trying to make them. So, where in the UK can I buy good quality VCDs?

    Kind regards

And thanks to those how have tried helping.

Before you give up making VCD, could you tell me what your parameter setting was in TMPGEnc?

  3. I used the VideoCD PAL template which was supplied with TMPGEnc. And set the aspect ratio to 16:9 (PAL). And took out the Detect Scene Changes in GOP structure.

Tried both Interlaced and Progressive (with both Field A and Field B). And video arrange method I left at Full Screen (keep aspect ratio).

    Regards
