  1. hi guys,

    good day to all.

i am new on the forum.

need little help to resolve a problem.

i have the dvd jap and dvd ita of dragonball GT and i want mux audio ita whit video jap (jap source have best quality)

i have made some trick and the result is very impressive (especially the syncro with the source jap)

the problem is the AUDIO track...

the ITA language (LPCM converted into AC3) have low volume respect the JAP audio (AC3 native)
i mux opening audio jap (at the first), episode audio on italian, and again ending audio jap at last...

when i play the mkv muxed on my iMac i hear the difference, BUT when i play the same mkv on my PLASMA TV (with Xiaomi MiBox) the sound muxed looks good...

sorry for my english... i hope to have explain the problem...

some idea why this difference? how i can resolve?

    thanks to all

You will have to try to equalize the sound files/edits BEFORE you mux.
Once you join they are set forever.

You are trying to mix audios with different dynamics

Good question. Having not heard either samples I can't answer it.
    Possibly both.

For the record, I don't know what Dragonball GT is, or what sound it has.

Edit: forgot to mention the software.

Experiment and get to know the software.

You can add a Voxengo Marvel GEQ VST3 Equalizer to Audacity.
Use their website for information on plugins.

Add Ffmpeg library to your system and export as WAV, Flac or AAC.

The quality is what you make it. Actually, earlier I said the file was fixed once muxed...
Not strictly true. You can edit regions of the muxed file and not all of it, if you're lucky.

  5. Extract the audiotrack from your movie and load it into Audacity.
Mark the italian part and adapt the audio level to the japan parts.
Then export to ac3 and remux the new ac3 with your videostream.
For extracting and remuxing you can use clever FFmpeg-GUI.

AAC: best for streaming platforms, portable devices, music playback, and podcasts due to its efficiency and broad support.
AAC offers sampling frequencies between 8 kHz and 96 kHz and any number of channels between 1 and 48.

The AC3 bitstream specification allows sampling rates of 48 kHz, 44.1 kHz, and 32 kHz, Dolby AC-3 (a backronym for Audio Codec 3, Advanced Codec 3, or Acoustic Coder 3), also known as ATSC A/52 (name of the standard) or simply Dolby Digital (DD), is the common version containing up to six discrete channels of sound.
AC3: best for home theater systems, DVDs, and cinema soundtracks due to its surround sound capabilities.

I love Google... sometimes! Take your pick. Do both. Why not? I don't know what your plans are.
