Hi folks,
I would like to know, if it is possible to have the different codecs (DivX 3.11, DivX 4.12 and the new Version 5) installed at the same. If that is possible, would someone explain to me how? Whenever I install another Version, the one that is already installed is overwritten.
Thanks for your help in advance
Gordon

hi,i haven't installed 5 yet,i've read that it has a lot of adware in it!but as for the other two codecs, yes, you can install them seperately.i installed 4 today and when it asks if you want it to be used for media requiring 3.11,just click on no,and thats it.i'm not sure if you install them the other way around tho....
ok

Because I'm a nice guy, and because I hate ad-ware, here is a nice clean version of DivX5.0 http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzzinhornetz2002_3/files/DivX%20Pro%20v5.0%20-%20EAGLE.zip

Thx for the fast help, I'll try that. Think I just pressed "Okay" to fast.
Thx for the "clean Version", but it appears that it is not working. WinZip tells me, that the file is corrupted. If you have the file, can you please send it to heliman1@gmx.de ?

Be careful with that Eagle version of the DivX codec. I have heard it's not cracked all the way, so encoding to Div5 is not available with. That's just what I've heard.
Yes you can have all codecs acting simultaneously.
For DivX 5 & 5.01 you want to look for the DAMN DivX 5 bundle. No, I'm not swearing it's the crackers monicker.
Look on any p2p program or warez sites~~~Spidey~~~

no, the EAGLE Divx5 version works excellent... you just have to install it correctly... read the .nfo file with windows notepad... the instructions there explain it all

dunno if it quite pertains to this topic..but i think it's also ok to install different mpeg-4 codecs on your comp at once
i have a couple installed
navi, divx, morgan multi-media (at least i think it's mpeg-4)....and also asf is by default supported by mplayer
