    Hi,

I recently got a MX-1 (PAL), but the output produces this glitchy effect:

Is there any solution? I should add that I'm not familiar with mixers at all; I'd just like to use it as a TBC passthrough and have no idea how to set it up in case there's some wrong setting. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

  2. First step would be to clean the in/out contacts with something like devout. I presume it does that both with composite and S-Video? Next, I'd say open it up and check the capacitors for any evidence of leakage or bulging. A better screening test would be to do an in-circuit ESR test on each capacitor as 75% of bad capacitors won't be visibly obvious, though never hurts to look.

OK, I'll check, but I'm not sure it's an output problem as any other internal screens (e.g: the start logo and the "preview" output interface) show just fine. The problem begins when I plug the external source into the MX1's input(s). At first I thought it would be a PAL-N/PAL-B issue, but I tested inputting a (probably) PAL-B device and the only change it made was that the image gained colour, still displaying glitchy.
