  1. I just purchased a Panansinic DF311 and was trying to backup some of my DVD collection. I first used Smartripper (instructions from forum) and tried to burn DVD-R's using differnt set-up setting but none worked when I tried using either of my DVD Players, it only plays on my PC. Do I use DVD-ROM (ISO), DVD-Copy, DVD-Video, DVD-Rom (Boot), DVD-Rom (UDF) or DVD-Rom (UDF/ISO)? If UDF, is it set for 1.02, 1.50 or 2.01? Any other Nero settings I should be aware of? Nero does not give any DVD copy setting instrustions in theri manual. Thanks,

  2. If you use smartripper then I am assuming you use the file backup tab to rip all the required files under the video_ts folder, ie bup vob ifo, etc. Then you can use Nero, DVD-Video option and put all these files under the video_ts folder and you can hit record. That all it is.

  3. Yes, in Smartripper I confirmed that all files is checked and then use Backup to rip everything. I tried using DVD-Video in Nero and it worked on my PC but not a regular DVD Player (Toshiba SD9200 or JVC 723)
Do you think it may be the DVD-R?

  4. I didn't see the Panasonic LF-D311 as one of the recorder supported by Nero...only the DVD-RAM LF-D310, so it can be the Nero problem. Maybe you should try to burn your DVD using some other software, maybe DVDit, or others beside Nero and see if that works.

Again, it could be the player problem or the DVD-R media problem, hard to say.

  5. Richt19 - you need to select DVD-Rom (UDF/ISO). The setting should all be correct by default. The just copy your VIDEO_TS folder into the project window, and burn that bad boy. Works fine for me.

  7. Somehow I had problem if I manually select the UDF/ISO and burn using Nero, the DVD-RW would not play on my pioneer DVD player. The menu or title would not show up.

If I just select the DVD-Video and burn using Nero, it played fine on the pioneer DVD Player.

I used the options as recommended by the link above.

    Haven't got a clue
