I want to play the AVI format on my computer but watch it on my TV. I got that covered now. But now I want to know, if I need a soundcard with "digital out" to get the prologic format out through my receiver, so I can hear it in all 5 speakers.
Can anyone help me?

If all you want to do is hear Dolby Pro Logic then all you need is a normal stereo sound card. Just plug the output into your Prologic surround sound unit and you're away.
If you want Dolby Digital then you'll need something like Soundblaster Live 5.1, or a SonicFury.
