  1. In Selur Hybrid, one can select multiple video files to create a batch process. I have found that Hybrid will use the Input Scan Type of the first video file and use that Input Scan Type for all the subsequent video files in the batch.

For instance, if one adds a DV25 file (which is BFF) and then a HuffYUV files (which is TFF), Hybrid will use the BFF Input Scan Type for both videos, which will create visual issues for the HuffYUV video file when it is processed. (By the way, the files are properly flagged when they come into Hybrid, which I confirmed by processing each of them independently.)

I viewed all the settings in Hybrid, and I searched the various fourms, but I didn't find information on this issue.

Is there a setting in Hybrid that would force Hybrid to change the Input Scan Type for every video that is part of the batch and not assume the Input Scan Type is the same for all of them?

I understand that the workaround is to simply create a batch for video files of only the same type. Which is acceptable and probably the best practice anyway.

  2. Sidenote only: HUFFYUV does not have a field order flag, so hybrid just uses the default BFF for HUFFYUV files. For HUFFYUF sources you have to set the correct field order (TFF or BFF) manually if you don't want it to be possibly wrong.
For field order setting never trust the tools anyway.

If they are really flagged properly, share a debug output of the analysis of the files and the job creation.

  4. UPDATE: I made an error. The HuffYUV avi files are not detected as Top Field First (TFF) in Hybrid as I had assumed. My error stems from the fact that I normally check the box "Overwrite input scan to: top field first" in the Filtering--Deinterlace/Telecine screen. I know understand that the HuffYUV files are not flagged in the meta info as TFF.
