Hi everyone,
I'm looking to upgrade my GPU & Graphics/HBM2 GPU for video editing and rendering purposes. I primarily work with 4K footage in DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere, and I need a GPU that can handle heavy workloads efficiently. From what I’ve read, HBM2 memory offers high bandwidth and lower power consumption, making it ideal for demanding tasks.
I have a few questions:
Which HBM2 GPUs are best suited for video editing and rendering? (AMD Radeon VII, Instinct MI100, or something else?)
How does HBM2 compare to GDDR6/GDDR6X in real-world video editing performance?
Are there any compatibility concerns I should be aware of when choosing an HBM2 GPU?
Would an HBM2 GPU be overkill for my workflow, or should I consider a high-end GDDR6 option instead?
Any recommendations or insights from those using HBM2 GPUs for video production would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
