Can’t see what’s going on in video

I have a downloaded video from a Ring device that I need help with. I hid the video in my closet to catch my teenage son going through my things. The video is dark and I can see movement but when I play the video it’s looks as if he is in three different places at once so it’s hard to tell what he is doing. He claims I’m seeing things. How do I fix it to where I can see the video clearly?
