Hello,
Has anyone tried this? I'd like to be able to encode at the same time 4 minidv via firewire using 4 firewire cards, is that possible?
If so, is there any software that lets you select between several firewire cards?

not much support for minidv anymore and there was never a multi-cam input mixer for it. there are multi-cam video editing programs that can use dv or get cams with hdmi out and a current standalone video mixer.

Thanks for the reply, I'll try to find out more, I've just unmounted 4 firewire cards.
