A friend of mine let me hold a cd and i was wondering y it didnt play in my cd player at work.... well the first thing i figured was that it was copied protected but i didnt see it on the cd label (dont know y i think they print it on there) then i came home and tried to play it in my surround system and it didnt play there either so i thought i was just something wrong with da disk..... but come to find out it plays in my portable and another cd player that i have well i went on another site and saw this.........
" Eminem’s CD will be released on a new “protected” format, which will not be able to play on CD-Rom or DVD players - only regular audio CD players. "
Well the other artist (which i didnt copy or paste) was the other name in this quote....... i couldnt believe it because i was plan on buying eminem album but it wont even play in my surround system..... AND MOST SURROUND SYSTEMS THATS OUT IS DVD/CD PLAYER...... WHAT IN DA HELL IS GOING ON.... AND WHO DO I CRACK THIS BS

I have seen copy protected audio including Eminem and Celine Dion posted on newsgroup...that means the protection is not good enough.

I'm not sure about Eminem but the Celine Dion cd came out in both protected and non protected versions. It was on the news.

just use spdif-in and spdif-out. its all digital and is easily captured.
and as soon as more of these are released, someone will bring something out to get around it. no one can say that anything is hack proof.

Pretty funny how music companies spend so much money developing new copywrite techniques when the ways that they are cracked are so simple. -
Just run a line from your headphone jack to your soundcard and record
in analog.CDex will do this and it's free:

MR Pink,
the album being online has nothing to do with whether it has been sourced digitally. Its current form online is digital, but the process to make the mp3 file may have been analogue. There is a vast difference in a song that has been ripped either way. you just need good ears to hear it.

Just found an another article on this... it seems legit...
The copy "protection" can be defeated with a marker!

Sony execs now are saying they want to market wet paper bags to the military, for use as bulletproof headwear.
This is almost funny... no it is COMPLETELY funny! -

Where to mark your disc can be found out on Usenet somewhere. -
Just my opinion but why would anyone even want the new Eminem cd, downloaded or purchased? From what I've heard he doesn't have anything important or useful to say.
Sparky12 -
...has he ever?
Has a nice enough beat, and a funny video.
But... when you consider $$$...
D/L the song, capture the video on your PC.
