Ok I have newest version of v dub.. I finished encoding lotr today.. then when I started next audio conversion I get a error that says the requested audio compression is not compatible with imput format check sampling rate and channel count. I noticed in file information that it shows compression as "unknown"tag 0055
any movie I load shows this way.. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program.. to no avail.. I saw a post where the guy had the same problem but after searching the forum I found no answer.. It was working fine.. a little help please???

Your avi file probably has multichannel AC3 audio. Use Besweet to extract and convert to stereo. Search to forum and the guides for details.

the problem is that all my movie files are reading this way now.. even avi masters I had already encoded and burnt.. but I found the answer about 3 am this morning... I noticed some of my music video mpegs were showing the codec in the compression slot.. so I uninstalled my codec nimo pack and reinstalled it and it fixed it..... apparently one of the codecs became corrupted.. hope this helps some others who had the same problem
