My Panasonic AG-1980 has suddenly decided to display mostly white noise when playing tapes recorded in SP mode. Anything recorded in EP plays without issue. I can sort of "fix" the SP issue by messing with the job/shuttle but it's not very reliable. I'm guessing this is some kind of issue with the video head but I was curious to see if anyone else has had this issue. Photo attached showing what it's doing.
DISREGARD - the video heads were dirty and cleaning them fixed the problem.
