  1. I just bought the new seinfeld 4k box set and used Make MKV to rip a disc to my hard drive the issue is how do you name each episode so plex or jellyfin know what episode it is?

Doing this by hand would be very time consuming.

Is there a way to automate this process? I would have to go and watch each file to figure out what each episode is called.

  2. For manual renaming you can get the names of each episode to IMDB.

    Use Bulk Rename Utility

Unfortunately MakeMkv doesn't allow naming the ripped files per customer needs.

You have to prepare an Excel sheet with one column (A) that has the current title (including the file extension) and another column with the final title that you want (Column B). Then save as csv file.
Then use Bulk Rename Utility. Watch out for any errors that you get and correct them until you get everything in green.
Recommend to use at first one title to practice until you see the change.

  6. I use the following naming convention for use with KODI
    Code:
Show Name s01e01 First Episode Name.mkv
Show Name s01e02 Second Episode Name.mkv
Even if you don't have the episode name KODI's scraper will pick it up (and display it) along with all the episode descriptions and artwork.
