How to Limit Subtitle Lines to 3 Words in Subtitle Edit?

I'm using Subtitle Edit for audio-to-text transcription and need to limit each subtitle line to 3 words max automatically.

I’ve tried settings like Max. number of lines and Split behavior, but they don’t seem to work for word count, only for characters or lines.
