  1. I would like to download a video from YouTube that has subtitles. But with Internet Download Manager it is not possible. Are there any programs that do this?

    yt-dlp will do this, see https://write.corbpie.com/download-a-youtube-video-subtitles-file-with-yt-dlp/. AFAIK it's the only really good streaming downloader program out there.

    IDM can download subtitles as well. See attached image. You can convert TTML to srt using Subtitle Edit

  5. I've used IDM for awhile and never realized it downloaded subs. I guess I just never looked closely enough. Good to know.

  6. I have used Adobe Premiere Pro to generate caption files. It works very well. Basically you start a new project, drop in the video and then go to transcript and it will auto-transcribe. It is 99% accurate, so you should correct errors if needed. Once done, you can select to create captions and it will produce them. Then just export the video and it should be all set.
