I'm curious about the effectiveness of nnedi3_rpow2 for upscaling DV footage.
I've experimented with Topaz ArtemisLQ, but I found it to produce a "plastic" effect, similar to the look of the movie "A Scanner Darkly."
ArtemisLQ can be useful in certain situations, but I'm looking for a more natural upscaling.
Does nnedi3_rpow2 preserve detail while minimizing artifacts? Are there any settings within nnedi3_rpow2 that are great for DV?
I would appreciate any recommendations.
Thanks.

NNEDI3 will preserve not add details like some machine learning based resizers will do.

If you upload a < 500 MB sample that shows what you are working with, folks might suggest something.
