  1. I'm curious about the effectiveness of nnedi3_rpow2 for upscaling DV footage.
I've experimented with Topaz ArtemisLQ, but I found it to produce a "plastic" effect, similar to the look of the movie "A Scanner Darkly."
ArtemisLQ can be useful in certain situations, but I'm looking for a more natural upscaling.

Does nnedi3_rpow2 preserve detail while minimizing artifacts? Are there any settings within nnedi3_rpow2 that are great for DV?

    I would appreciate any recommendations.

    Thanks.

  2. NNEDI3 will preserve not add details like some machine learning based resizers will do.

    It's not worth it.
There are no upscalers worth the effort.
    You can try with ArtemisMQ.
I personally found after trying with nnedi3_rpow2 that I don't see any difference Maybe in cartoons...
Leave it at 720x576 and wait for better times.

  4. If you upload a < 500 MB sample that shows what you are working with, folks might suggest something.
