    Hi !

    I'm mainly using Premiere and Photoshop and currently looking to renew my old PC. Since I try to keep them around 10 years, I would like a powerful PC. My budget is around 1750 euros (excluding screen).

    What do you think of this configuration ? Feel free to add any comment or suggest me other alternatives for any parts.

    CPU = AMD Ryzen 9 7900X
    GPU = CG Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 WINDFORCE OC Carte graphique - 8GB
    Mother Board = MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI
    Fan = be quiet! Dark Rock 5
    PSU = be quiet! System Power 10 850W 80PLUS Gold
    Case = Cooler Master Silencio S600
    Ram = Kingston FURY Beast 64 Go (2 x 32 Go) DDR5 5200 MHz CL36
    Storage = SSD 4 to WD_BLACK SN770 x 2 (plus I reuse old disks I own)

    Quick note : I don't play games.

    Thanks a lot for your opinion on those choices.

    Have you considered using liquid cooling instead of the be quiet! Dark Rock 5?
    I used liquid cooling in my new PC built. It is a bit more complicated to install than a CPU fan and I am not sure which is better but there are plenty of videos on YouTubes to watch.
    Also I regret using a GPU with 8GB VRAM. I wish I used 12GB GPU. I don't play games also but there are many AI applications that use GPUs now and in the future.

    I would add more SSDs. You want your programs on your OS drive because your programs need quick access to your OS, use another SSD for scratch/cache. Use a third drive for your media and projects.

    If you use four SSDs then it would be 1 for OS/ programs, 1 for scratch and cache, 1 for media and projects, and 1 for exports. The designated drive for scratch/cache will help a lot.

    I too would recommend liquid cooling. In my old PC, the cooling effect was like night and day compared to CPU fan. Also, the large on-CPU fan assemblies get in the way. The liquid pump is very small in comparison and makes working in the case much easier. The fan bank/radiator goes where the normal fans would go.
