Hi all,
I have an issue with a VHSc tape that I was recently sent which was originally recorded in Pakistan (not sure of the equipment)
Whenever I try to convert the tape to digital (on various VCR/camcorders) the output shows interference and loss of colour, even though through the viewfinder of the camcorder I'm using, the recording plays fine.
Would appreciate any help or guidance someone might be able to give on how I could correct the output recording.
I'm using a Panasonic G202 VHSc unit and OBS/CVS to do the conversion.
Through a Capture card and a Mini AV2HDMI converter
Many thanks in advance
David

Your tapes are most likely MESECAM, Some PAL camcorders can playback MESECAM but you need a capture device that accepts MESECAM, It is not going to be a chinese non brand one for sure like the one you are using now, look for a good USB capture device, avoid things that have words such as HDMI, easycap, elgato and OBS.

Pakistan has always been a normal PAL video country. but anything is possible...
