Hello,
I have a Pioneer A03 and bought a firewire enclosure so I could use it with my laptop. My problem is this:
How can I get Primo and othe4r software to recognize it? I can put a movie in and play it but it isn't recognized as the dvd-r drive. Are there any drivers for it ? Does anyone have the firewire drive and can you help/give advice?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

I realized I may not have given enough info
I have
windows xp
a pIIM 1.13 ghz laptop
pioneer dvr-103 drive
primo software
firewire enclosure
Do I need drivers? I have a USB External burner that needs drivers and primo doesn't recognize my drive. Anyone with an external firewire drive that can shed some light for me would be very nice!
Thanks in advance!

So is it Firewire or is it USB?
If USB 1.1 there isn't enough bandwidth really anyway. I doubt you'd be able to burn anything with USB 1.1 (except maybe 4X CD-R). If it's USB 2.0 you need drivers. I am assuming it is Firewire though.
What Firewire chipset?
Is the software up to date?
Have you tried the thing on another machine?
Not any help, but my Firewire DVD-RAM/-R drive works fine.
