@gsc1ugs: It runs here under Windows 11. You should however use it with the originally shipped ffmpeg.exe from 2015. Copy attached. Extract it into the \bin folder. It failed here with newer versions of ffmpeg.exe.
Or you may want to try the newer DVDStyler as an alternative. It is still actively supported.Last edited by Sharc; 5th Dec 2024 at 03:09.

Install Revo Uninstaller (free version).
https://www.revouninstaller.com/start-freeware-download/
Start it, wait until all installations are found.
Search DVD Flick in the list, rightclick it, select uninstall.
Uncheck "Make a system restore point before uninstall", click continue, click yes on the uninstall questions.
If finished, click scan.
Select all found registry entries, click delete.
Click next.
Select all leftover files and folders, click delete.
Close Revo Uninstaller and reinstall DVD Flick. -
This worked but still get this error adding a MP4 file that runs perfectly

Well somethings wrong because it says in supported files??

I believe Sharc may be on to something.
.MP4 is a container so it may depend on the video or audio codec used to create the .MP4 file.
DVDFlick is old so may support only older codec for creating an .mp4.
Probably the reason it needs the original ffmpeg be used.
I do not have DVDFlick installed but I did use it many years ago & liked it back then.
I remember it had a limit of 99 files. -

@ gsc1ugs,
I believe what confuses davexnet & myself.
Probably others too.
Is the process you used to create a DVD with ImgBurn from a .MP4 file.
ImgBurn can create a Data DVD from a .MP4 file but that is not a DVD compliant DVD.
Meaning .IFO , .BUP , .VOB files in a VIDEO_TS folder.
ImgBurn can Write a DVD like this from an .ISO file that contains the VIDEO_TS folder.
ImgBurn can Build & burn a compliant DVD from a VIDEO_TS folder.
I like many here are long time users of ImgBurn. -
I did burn a DVD but when you say compliant what do you mean? some people have said it wont work but on the disc has both
VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TSLast edited by gsc1ugs; 6th Dec 2024 at 11:20. Reason: adding more info

These are the files in a DVD VIDEO_TS folder I had handy.
It is a compressed to DVD5 size & without a menu.
This is basically what should be inside your VIDEO_TS folder.
Usually the AUDIO_TS folder is empty.

If you created a folder & files like these from a .MP4 with ImgBurn .
I need instructions for how. -
I looked up an old DVD I created with DVDFlick in 2009.
I wrote it to DVD with CloneDVD2.
The list of files is too long to take a screen shot of but you can see it has 195 files.
I did the menu so they can be selected as needed.
What I would like to know is how you created a compliant DVD from a .MP4 file with just ImgBurn.
AFAIK this is not possible.

One page of the menu:

I have used ImgBurn for a long time.
If you rip or copy the VIDEO_TS folder to your hard drive then you can use Build mode to write that folder to a DVD disc.
You do not have to create an .ISO to do this.
Just a note I do not use EZ-Mode Picker in ImgBurm.
I select the mode I want to use from the Mode drop down.
If you want to create DVD compliant folders & files from a .mp4 or many other formats try AVStoDVD.
It has worked well for me. -
-
If the folder & files that are loaded into ImgBurn are compliant then it will write them correctly to the DVD.
I use Build mode for DVD Folders & files because it eliminates the need to create an .ISO first.
For not using EZ-Mode Picker I learned to use ImgBurn before it had EZ-Mode Picker.
I prefer to select from the Mode drop down exactly what I was to use.
I would need to memorize what EZ-Mode Picker names the selection in the Mode drop down.
That do the same thing anyway.
Did the "other friends" use a DVD you created or one they created ?
There are too many variables to answer this question without a lot more details. -
