Avidemux output settings set default to mp4 Muxer.

Hello I know this question was asked before (some years ago) but it was never answered.

I'm using the Avidemux program to edit video clips.

I'm wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to save certain output settings on the left bar so that they are always the same when you open the program and edit?

I need certain output settings and it is annoying to have to set them each time.
Now standard (default) Mkv Muxer is selected, can this be changed to default mp4 Muxer?


It would be good to have these output things as default without needing to select them each time.

You set the settings you want, you do not need to load a video file to adjust these specific default settings.
Specific default settings adjustments = left screen adjustments.
Standard it's on Mkv Muxer, I changed this to mp4 muxer.
Then menu, edit, save current settings as default, and that's it.
This may be different if you're on another version, I don't know, but it should be somewhere in the menu.
From now on the default output format will be pointed towards mp4 and not Mkv
