So I've been using this program for years, but now for some reason, I can never go to the end frame no matter the video, it always stop a few milliseconds before the final frame (SEE THE PICTURE ABOVE), I tried with multiple videos that I know worked before but same shit.. I cannot even go there using the the right arrow or the mouse or anything for that matter, I'm forced to have a few milliseconds of the end of the video left in there.

I tried everything from installing an older version to deleting the config files in both appdata. and installing fresh, it changes nothing.

the worst part is I remember having this problem a year or two ago, and found a workaround, but can't remember what I did.
If anyone has a solution let me know

  2. That is the last frame.

The playhead is at the beginning of the last frame, and the last frame has a duration as indicated in the screenshot

Imagine if the playhead was at the end of a frame. The first frame would not start at time "zero"

  3. In Avidemux if you activate the A marker all proceeding frames (including the last frame) will be included in the selection. If you activate the B marker only preceeding frames will be included. The B marker frame is excluded from the selection for the reason PDR explained above.
In the image you uploaded all frames are included in the selection, as shown on the A and B marker buttons at the far right of the dialogue.

    Same in VirtualDub, logic behaviour

Logical once you understand Presentation Time Stamps (PTS). Counter intuitive for unexperienced users who assume the displayed B marker frame, where the play head resides, should be included in the selection.

Once nothing. PTS are out of contest, they are not even present for many sources (avi captured files for example). The reason for the trimming behavior has been already explained by poisondeathray in post #2.
