Had a BSOD using my ATI 750USB when it died. Found a new one but noticed that there are no crossbar entries anymore. Tried putting it on another machine with a fresh install and had the same result.

I still have the ksxbar.ax file on the machine. What makes the crossbar entry appear? Is there something I can re-install to make it show up?

Have you tried re-registering the ax file?

I never needed to originally, but, yes, I tried and that didn't help.

It's loaded as needed. If it doesn't show up in two different Windows builds of Windows 10/11
then something changed in those newer OS'
Don't have any further details, perhaps somebody else will chime in

It was working before the 750 died. No os changes after that, replaced 750,doesnt work anymore. That's what has me flummoxed.

What do you suspect - Is the second device bad?

Have you tried a capture in Virtualdub to see if it shows up ?

Got it working on the "new" machine! On my original machine, I had done an upgrade from win7 at some point. And I found a post somewhere about installing in compatibility mode https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-to-make-ati-tv-wonder-650-wo...4-25637f39feec

So I uninstalled the device (which showed up as a Cali TV Card) then I went to the CD, drilled down to the 64 bit folder for the drivers, set the setup to be XP sp3 compatibility and then ran the install as administrator. And voila!!

Looks to be working good on the new machine!

Haven't doubled back on my original yet and I might not anyway. It's my main machine and I don't like getting too "clever" with drivers and such.
