I've had a LG BluRay burner for years in my Windows 10 PC. Never any issues burning CD's, DVD's or Blu-Ray's. Burning suddenly started failing 100% of the time. I switched to different media, tried Windows built in disc burning software, ImgBurn and Alcohol 120. I replaced the LG burner (same model). I had 2 DVD burners in storage and tried those also, and tried other SATA cables & ports.
When using ImgBurn, the process buffers up to 100% then fails before the actual burning even starts.
Please guys, I am completely stumped and really need help... and any is appreciated. Thanks.

Here's the log from the last attempt at burning a BluRay.

You can try entering the BIOS and reset to default values. While inside the BIOS, check the peripheral menus and see if there is anything odd there.
    save and start Windows.
Do a new burn and if it fails again then open Device Manager and check the IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers
You will probably see Standard SATA AHCI Controllers.
You can try Update Driver and then Uninstall Device (at your own risk).
Then restart the PC and you will install the drivers back.
If all this doesn't work then try installing Windows again, as a last resort.
Of course you should back up everything and disconnect any external HDDs if you have them during the install of Windows.
You should write down your Windows license key you might need it later.

in imgburn settings, click the "reset all options to the default values" - https://forum.imgburn.com/topic/6232-the-imgburn-settings/
try burning your disc again and see if it still fails.

Having suffered through a variety of issues with CD/DVD/Blu-Ray writing issues, in my experience the main culprits to failures have been if the Hard drive doesn't have enough free space to write out the image before burning, or too much hard drive activity (programs running) to allow the data to smoothly transfer to the media.

Tried this already. Like I said though, not only getting fails in imgburn. Also fails using Alcohol120 and Windows built in burning software.

PLENTY of hard drive space, 376GB free.

Haven't tried BIOS yet, will give it a shot. As far as Device Manager, I've uninstalled/reinstalled the controllers multiple times.

Thank you guys for the suggestions.

You can also try an EXTERNAL DVD burner connected to a USB port. They are quite cheap.

I have 2 BluRay burners & 2 DVD burners so I'm not going to buy another. I connected one of the BR burners to my spare computer and it worked, burned 3 or 4 discs with no issues so there's something going on with my main Windows PC that is causing this issue, which is odd because this just started to happen randomly.
I purchased a SATA to USB adapter cable on Amazon so I'll use it that way from now on.

Does "suddenly" mean "soon after a Windows 10 update"
Windows 10 became well-known for its problematic updates, which often break the functionality of printers, webcams, etc.

Couldn't say for sure but it's possible. I'm not aware when the updates take place.

Also tried changing these settings. It must be due to a Windows update as the same burners work in my other computer.
I don't burn many discs anyway so I just installed my main BR burner in the spare PC.
Thanks guys for all the help.
