  1. I have a Sharp DV-600 DVD player. It plays VCDs, but I just tried to burn a SVCD. I put it in, the VCD light lit up, and I began to play it. All it was was black. I know it is not the movie or CD because I burned the same movie to the same CD-RW in VCD format before. Is the common DVD player rejection of SVCDs? Is it the format (TMPGEnc Mpeg-2) or the burner (Nero) the problem? What about a CD-R? Any hope?

    Thanks

  2. hey,

try and mux and remux the Mpeg2 with a Mpeg1 header and burn it as a VCD. You will have a Mpeg 2 file with a VCD mpeg1 header. this works onmy SONY NS400 which does not paly SVCD.

  3. Thanks sumibas. Is the the final VCD appear to be SVCD quality? Also, I am new to burning VCDs. Can you suggest a program that will "mux and remux". What is this? Is this a simple procedure? Is there a tutorial I can follow?

P.S. What if I just drag a MPEG-2 file into Nero under "create VCD"?

    Thanks
