  1. So I have a TV recorded program and for some reason subs are a mess. The text is allright (I have it on SRT format) but the sync is very bad. Some starts very early and some very late.

I've been searching the net and trying a couple of "auto sync" tools, but none got the sub sync right.

I was wondering, is there a tool, using AI or whatever, that could fix my sub?

The sub and audio are in the same language, the voices are almost always very clear and audible, and the sub is already there with the correct text, it's just the sync what's wrong.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. I did not, because alass is, according to the readme, designed for:

    constant offsets
splits due to advertisement breaks, directors cut, ...
    different framerates

And that's not the case, my issue is not a constant offset problem, I have no cuts on my recording, and the frame rate is the same because the sub and video were recorded together, only the sub is out of sync for almost every line, but with a different offset each time

I haven't used it myself, but according to the doc it uses the voice timings to sync the sub.
    Maybe worth a try?

sorry to hear that. It seems all the so-called solutions at the moment are found wanting.
Let us know if you find anything that works
