  1. I use Hybrid for Deinterlace my DV source. I know that QTGMC shows the best result, but the problem is that i can't enable use my GPU gtx 1660 for this. setting openCL enabled but does not give results. processing still goes through my CPU. or maybe any denterlacing goes only through the processor and does not use the GPU? I want to increase the processing speed from 45fps several times more if possible. Please, help me set correct settings for Hybrid. Thank you.

  2. AviSynth and QTGMC run on the CPU.

Thank you! i didn't know. Can you recommend another 50fps deinterlacer that works with GPU? Yadif 50fps doesn't use GPU too.

  4. The only deinterlacer I know of that uses the GPU is nnedi3cl. It's based nnedi3 which only uses the CPU. nnedi3cl is only about 20 percent faster than nnedi3. But nnedi3 is about 2x faster than QTGMC. nnedi3(cl) aren't anywhere near the quality of QTGMC.

I don't know which preset you are using but you can try using faster settings. The quality won't be quite as good though.

In terms of quality, deinterlacers like yadif and bwdif are also visibly inferior to QTGMC. But they're about 3x faster.

In short, if you want quality deinterlacing you have to use QTGMC. You might be able to speed it up a little by changing all the references to nnedi3() to nnedi3cl().

All deinterlacers I've referred to here support double rate deinterlacing.

the best explanation I've seen. thank you so much for your answer!
    I should upgrade my CPU)

Don't Nvidia GPUs support their own GPU deinterlacing?
    From the DGDecNV manual:

    deinterlace: 0/1/2 (default: 0)

    Nvidia PureVideo Deinterlacer
    0: no deinterlacing
    1: single rate deinterlacing
    2: double rate deinterlacing (bobbing)

  7. Yes , DGDecNV supports PureVideo deinterlacing . Quality isn't great. Also DGBob which is the same as yadif cuda, quality is same as yadif

Also, there is KTGMC which is QTGMC running on CUDA - it's difficult to run because it requires completely different avisynth setups and plugins that can break compatibility with "normal" setups plugins and functions. If you have a fast GPU it can be 5-10x faster than QTGMC with similar quality
