Do you know of any other encoding or how to remove some characters from the subtitle? for example: [♪♪♪] ż ˇ ??? Thanks a lot.

Thanks. I didn't actually know that. I always Shift-Left-Click in the folder and select Open Command Window Here. Typing CMD is so much easier.

For WVP2, I wrote a command batch file that always runs CCExtractor over output files from WVP2 when the download is finished. Saves me the trouble.

  4. @dani19910 you can remove "♪♪♪" with "Subtitle Edit"

  5. Hi, first of all thank You to have made this extension, after this issue: in google chrome extension tab, inside your extension there is error button and when I click on it this message is showed: "'background.scripts' requires manifest version of 2 or lower." ... how can fix this?

Yup. So do I, but it doesn't seem to have any negative effect on the extension.

I’ve got L1 CDM. Looks like they limit the quality in the browser I tried forcing 1080p M3U8, but it didn’t work, seems like 1080p is only available on TV I’ll try debugging the Android app. Thanks for the info

It's all in segments because of the ads. Usually AdBlockers take care of that.

Never never mind... um. Ok mind.

I tried grabbing the subtitles and they're only 10 minutes. Are you able to rip them too?

Thanks, but considering this thread is for a browser app, any suggestions on how to do Pluto on my own?

So trying another MGM+ video, I did managed to find the 2160p mpd link, but again the KID in the mpd doesn't match the one in the key generated by Widevineproxy2.
The playlist for the first 4k I tried didn't have that, but the link provided by z1269925944 didn't have encryption, didn't have "2160" in the mpd name and it included <msprro> data lacking in the link I've found... I still don't know if there is a possible way for me to do this.

    https://www.mgmplus.com/movie/galaxy-quest-1999/watch
    Code:
    N_m3u8DL-RE "https://epixhls.akamaized.net/movies/_drm/fmp4/galaxy-quest-1999/daefc26c-05a5-4f0d-a69f-bd9eb2a0da6a/8d981cab-eb8b-41c1-99d1-b57b063ac932/playlist_2160.mpd" -H "User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/135.0.0.0 Safari/537.36" -H "Accept: */*" -H "Origin: https://www.mgmplus.com" -H "Referer: https://www.mgmplus.com/" --key a433f6c7275b4ac7af37a3f7293f3e9c:1f9cdd8051de686e31c6e14015aa6ebf --use-shaka-packager -M format=mkv
    Also found by WVP2 is:
    Code:
    N_m3u8DL-RE "https://epixhls.akamaized.net/movies/_drm/fmp4/galaxy-quest-1999/daefc26c-05a5-4f0d-a69f-bd9eb2a0da6a/8d981cab-eb8b-41c1-99d1-b57b063ac932/playlist_2160.mpd" -H "User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/135.0.0.0 Safari/537.36" -H "Accept: */*" -H "Origin: https://www.mgmplus.com" -H "Referer: https://www.mgmplus.com/" --key f46b6ec182a84d18805a5dfe5ff6e65b:a443c64993795a50ddc45bd1f5081cc2 --use-shaka-packager -M format=mkv

  15. I tried Widevine Proxy 2 on ITV and it generates a huge command that fails with N_m3u8DL-RE. Regardless this is a terrific tool and I am grateful for its existence.

The same thing happens to me, I don't know how to make the extension work.

Yes, but if I deactivate the extension, then when playing the content it does not detect the url or anything, so it does not get the keys and such.

How do I ensure that there is no conflict and the content is reproduced to obtain the url, pssh, keys, etc...?

  18. Im coding and working on an own workaround for me in C#. I have managed to autogenerate the license_protocol. from here: https://github.com/devine-dl/pywidevine/blob/master/pywidevine/license_protocol.proto

to a class of C# its working fine. is there a newer protocol or is it the current state?

  20. Thanks for this little gem,..... I have finally been able to get channel 5 downloading again. Just out of curiosity, I used to be able to download from ch5 and get 1080p.... It was back in 2024 and I cant remember if I had used Freevine, or UK-FTA, Sadly neither work with CH5 anymore.... Unusually, Devine failed to work with it as well. Is 1080p gone from CH5 now,.... I have not changed my wvd,.... it's the same one I was using to get 1080p. Any advice or info would be very much appreciated.
On a sidenote, after I added this to the latest version of Chrome, within "manage extensions" it shows an error message, If I click on the error it says "'background.scripts' requires manifest version of 2 or lower." I'm going to guess that this is nothing to worry about as it worked fine for CH5.

Managed to sort out 1080p - It's been nearly a year since I last used Devine,.... Totally forgot how to update it.... lol
Sorted it now. and CH5 is outputting 1080p. Gotta say a massive thanks to Mr B Banana for his GUI.

Still curious about the error message within widevineproxy2 though??

If you have the right key and you want to decrypt it yourself, you have to use shaka packager and as kid you have to use all zeros, if for example you have this KID:KEY
    Code:
    000000003fe9e6696331202020202020:8ba8b2ba9e9f0b3f8fcb0ffa70329a27
you will have to use this to decrypt

This is only valid for 4ppl3TV
    Thanks.

Now I'm trying to remember. There was one of the free streaming services I was trying to d/l from that I ran in to the same error and I think the stream was from the same corporate owner.

  24. https://github.com/tchebb/openwv is another program that works even better than this one. You don't have to execute official Widevine library this way, video playback isn't blocked, and the keys are written to browser logs if launched from command line, at least on Linux.

  26. @ytdlhelp I did everything as per the openwv docs. Videos are playing with no issue but can't see the keys anywhere

The keys appear in terminal if you launch the browser from it, among some other openwv output. I tested it on Linux with both Firefox- and Chromium-based web browsers.
