  1. Is any method or button to reset factory settings on Sony VCR? My vcr Sony is doing the same error after auto rewinding the tape and the tape can not be ejected, and the machine keeps the tape even tho, not showing the tape-in status

    Usually with a vcr, just unplug it from the power for a day or two,
    long enough for any residual energy to drain

    Resetting the system parameters is usually held by a coin cell battery, If not, the parameters don't take days to reset, as soon as you unplug it it resets itself. Having said that, the problem you are facing has nothing to do with all this, You may have a bad cassette detection sensor, If you have the repair skills check the sensor and try to clean its contacts by some contact cleaner such as Deoxit.

    Thanks for your help. Ho to do this sensor cleaning?

    Just try to get some fluid into the contacts somehow, There is no perfect way of doing it, It requires some repair skills as I've already mentioned.
